Welcome to Baubiber! This guide shows you how to use the mobile app and the professional web dashboard to find renovation projects, submit offers, and grow your business.
Getting Started
- Download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or go directly to the web dashboard.
- Sign up with your Google, Apple, or Microsoft account — or use email OTP.
- Choose your role — select Baubiber (professional) when prompted.
Setting Up Your Profile
A complete profile increases your visibility and builds trust with residents.
- Company info — name, city, website, and a description of your services.
- Specialties — select your trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, etc.).
- Skills & certifications — add your professional qualifications with document proofs.
- Portfolio — upload before/after photos of past projects with cost and timeline ranges.
Identity Verification (KYC)
To ensure marketplace trust, all professionals must complete identity verification powered by Didit:
- Upload a government-issued ID document (passport, national ID, or driver's license).
- Complete the face matching step — take a quick selfie to verify it is you.
- Verification typically completes within minutes.
Verified professionals receive a trust badge visible to residents.
Finding Projects
Mobile App
Open the Matching tab to browse projects that are looking for professionals. Each project card shows:
- Project type (Small Fix, Small Update, or Full Renovation)
- Location and scope summary
- AI match score explaining why this project fits your skills
- Whether you have already submitted an offer
Web Dashboard
The Matching page on the dashboard provides the same project feed with richer filtering and detail views. You can review the resident's photos, AI analysis, and the full contractor report before deciding to bid.
Submitting Offers
When you find a project you want to work on:
- Open the project detail view and tap Submit Offer.
- Choose a pricing model:
- Range — a minimum and maximum estimate
- Capped — a guaranteed maximum price
- Fixed — an exact all-inclusive quote
- Add detailed notes explaining your approach, timeline, and any conditions.
- Set an expiration date for the offer.
- Optionally schedule a site visit with available time slots and configurable fees.
Managing Offers
Track all your submitted offers in one place:
- Mobile App — view offers per project in the project detail screen.
- Dashboard → My Offers — aggregated view of all your offers across every project, with status tracking.
Due-Diligence Checklists
Each project type comes with an auto-generated checklist to ensure quality before work begins:
- Small Fix — 10 items (site visit, measurements, materials, timeline, access arrangements)
- Small Update — 10 items (measurements, current conditions, floor plans, permits, timeline)
- Full Renovation — 12 items (comprehensive measurements through subcontractor coordination)
Track completion status, add notes, and attach evidence for each item.
Messaging
Once matched with a resident, communicate through project-scoped chat. You can share additional photos, documents, and clarify scope details directly within the conversation.
Invoicing
Create and send invoices directly through the platform:
- Go to Invoices in the web dashboard.
- Create a new invoice — select the project (from projects where you have accepted offers).
- Add line items with description, quantity, and unit price.
- Tax is calculated automatically (19% German VAT by default).
- Invoice numbers are auto-generated (INV-2026-001, INV-2026-002, etc.).
- Set a due date and send — the property owner receives a notification.
Track your invoices through their lifecycle:
- Draft — work in progress, not yet sent
- Sent — delivered to the property owner
- Paid — owner confirmed payment
- Overdue — past the due date without payment
- Cancelled — voided invoice
Web Dashboard Overview
The professional web dashboard gives you a desktop view of your entire business:
- Dashboard Home — welcome flow for new users, stats overview for returning users
- Matching — browse and filter available projects
- Offers — submit proposals on projects
- My Offers — track all submitted offers and their status
- Invoices — create, send, and track invoices with payment status
- Constructions — manage active projects
- Messages — all project conversations
- Team — manage team members
- Settings — profile, language, preferences

- Language — English and German supported across app and dashboard.
- Dark mode — available on the web dashboard.
